UC Berkeley Clark Kerr Campus Steam Plant
Berkeley, CA
- Replacement of steam plant boilers, feedwater tank and chemical treatment system serving the Clark Kerr campus at UC Berkeley.
- The replacement system design allowed for the continual operation of the existing campus steam system, which serves the heating and domestic hot water needs for the 50-acre campus.
- Thorough, pre-design survey of the steam system by R&A allowed for a complete understanding of the buildings served by the campus steam system, which in turn informed a right-sized steam plant design with greater turn-down and decreased natural gas usage.
